HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy 2010 to all! I hope it was a safe and wonderful time for you while ringing in the New Year. Me? As the minutes ticked away, I briefly reflected upon 2009:

My granddaughter, Makenzie, was born (Nov. 20).
My father, Bobby, was diagnosed with cancer.
My daughter's friend, Keri, was killed in a car wreck (Dec. 27th).
My grandfather-in-law, Joe, turned 90 years young (Dec. 28th).
My son, Dalton, passed his driver's test (April 2nd).
I completed my course with Long Ridge Writer's Group (Dec.)
Brian, my husband, and I bought our new home and moved on February 14th.
My twin sister, Pam, remarried.

I could go on and on...but as you read you will notice many good and many bad things are among the list. It takes the bad in our lives to truly appreciate the good that follows (or at least this is what my mother always told me).

I look forward to what lies ahead in 2010 for my family and I. I will accept the bad, learn from it, move on, and prosper. And, even more importantly, I will cherish the good, always thanking the One who gave me life and daily blessings.

Happy New Year Y'all!!

I GRADUATED!!!

Today I received a letter along with my edited lesson from Lynne Smith. She has been my instructor with Long Ridge Writer's Group for over a year now. In the letter she explained how much she enjoyed my last assignment, how she saw such growth and improvement with my writing, and that I passed the course with flying colors. YIPPIE!

Now what??? I have some ideas floating around in my head.

Happy Writin' and Happy Bloggin' Y'all!
